ROOMS TO FILL UP AND FLOW OUT

Here’s an insight into one of our project in Chiswick. The family was looking for additional living space and asked for the loft to be converted and for the kitchen to be extended.

The parents now have the luxury of having their own space! Indeed, the loft has become their private floor, with a bedroom and bathroom en-suite, a wardrobe area and a study. The overall floor space was increased and the roof was entirely redone.

The kitchen allows for natural light to come through, and a seamless opening to the terrace, leaving the impression of being outdoors while still having the comfort of its elegant design remodel.

MAKING DO WITH LESS

The project was driven by the mindset to do only as much as was necessary, to improve the liveability of the 100-year-old house, rather than to demolish it. The additional area amounted to only 15m2, representing two small additions designed to unlock previously denied opprtunities. Everything else was a maximisation of spatial efficiency within the existing footprint.

We started with some deep refresh works in a very tight timeframe and have been very happy with both the end result, the speed of works and the daily interaction with the team.
